Meeting Students' Needs Through a Variety of Programs

	• Homebound/Hospitalized Instructional Program

Homebound/Hospitalized Instructional Program

• Certified teachers visit medically homebound students at home or in the hospital.

• Homebound secondary students participate in teleclass from home via telephone--provided by teleclass teachers working from studios at Merrick Educational Center.

• Distance learning is available for students who need credit recovery

• Available to any Miami-Dade Count public school student who meets eligibility criteria.

Community Based Program

• Students with severe disabilities who are also homebound receive instructional services in their home, provided by caring teachers.

School Based Program

• Students with severe disabilities attend school at Merrick Educational Center at Coral Gables

Alternative Telecommunication Program (ATC)

• Students who have been assigned to ATC by the M-DCPS Division of Alternative Education participate in teleclass from home via telephone.

• Provided by ATC teachers working from studios at Merrick Educational Center
